A Domestic Energy Performance Certificate or EPC is the product of an energy survey that is carried out by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) on an existing dwelling (new build dwellings require the more detailed SAP Calculation)

The certificate provides two separate ratings to indicate (a) the overall efficiency of the property and (b) the associated CO2 impact.

The certificate also includes recommendations on how to improve the overall energy efficiency and the expected annual running costs of the dwelling.
