Part G of England and Wales Building Regulations covers water use and sanitation. It was updated in April 2010 to include a new section on water efficiency. In order to comply with this change, all new houses submitted to planning after 5th April 2010 must be shown to use less than 125 litres of water per person per day. This can be proven by completing a Water Usage Calculation.
Here at Complete Energy, we are able to complete this complicated calculation for you within two working days. We will send you our custom-made report to show compliance with Section 17K of Part G and a covering letter that can be used as evidence for your Code for Sustainable Homes Assessment (if applicable) and submission to Building Control. You are required to produce a Water Usage Calculation for each house type.
Simply complete our Checklist and send us floor plans, and we’ll do the rest. If, for whatever reason, your current specification falls outside the required limits, our skilled assessment team will offer you advice on how to reduce this figure before we send the reports out to you.
From October 2010, the results of this calculation will have an effect on your SAP Calculations and could affect your Energy Performance Certificate rating. If your development is being built to the Code for Sustainable Homes standard, your water limit could be as low as 80 litres per person per day.
Call Complete Energy today to discuss your current project. We will make all of the necessary arrangements for your Part G Water Efficiency Report and Part L SAP Energy Calculation.
